North American Blockchain Association Launches to Advance and Unite Blockchain Advocacy

[Dallas, TX] — Representing a unified voice for the digital assets industry in the U.S. and Canada, leading blockchain advocacy and education organizations joined forces today to launch the North American Blockchain Association (NABA). Positioned squarely at the intersection of digital innovation and public policy, NABA members advocate for policies supporting digital innovation, investment, and economic growth in North America.

A member-driven organization, NABA will leverage best practices and experiences amongst its founding members to amplify grassroots-level advocacy efforts and drive cohesive federal policy recommendations. Today, NABA comprises eight blockchain associations, each of which has played a pivotal role in their respective jurisdictions to advance blockchain and digital innovation. With a combined membership of over 250 companies and working relationships with more than 1,000 elected officials across North America, the founding members are:

  • Alabama Blockchain Alliance

  • California Blockchain Advocacy Coalition

  • Florida Blockchain Business Association

  • Ohio Blockchain Council

  • Pennsylvania Blockchain Coalition

  • Texas Blockchain Council

  • Virginia Blockchain Council

  • Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Cascadia Blockchain Council

“The launch of the North American Blockchain Association marks a pivotal moment for the blockchain industry,” said Arry Yu, who has been tapped to lead NABA and Chair of the WTIA Cascadia Blockchain Council. “By uniting these incredible associations, we are building a stronger, more coordinated voice to champion blockchain innovation and establish North America as a global leader in this transformative technology.”

NABA aims to provide member organizations with resources and collaboration to engage policymakers to advocate for regulatory frameworks that foster digital asset innovation. To ensure that the region remains competitive globally, NABA will also prioritize strategic partnerships to establish North America as the preferred business development and growth jurisdiction.

Lee Bratcher, President of the Texas Blockchain Council and a member of the NABA Board of Directors, emphasized the significance of this initiative. “The North American Blockchain Association is a testament to the strength and diversity of the digital assets community at the grassroots level,” said Bratcher. “By aligning our efforts, we can more effectively advocate for the policies that will unlock the full potential of bitcoin, blockchain, and digital assets.”
